1. Tongue Piercing - The tongue piercing had its popularity in the 90's. Today, the tongue piercing has its fame among the the youth. 2. Tongue Surface Piercing - A surface tongue piercing is pierced anywhere on the surface of the tongue, the piercing can be vertically or horizontally down of the tongue or even on top or bottom of the tongue. Two types of Surface piercing - Lingum Piercing and Scoop Piercing.

3. Horizontal Tongue Piercings - Fairly described a piercing which is horizontal through the tongue while a traditional tongue piercing is pierced vertically through the tongue.

5. T-Bar Piercings - It is the most  complicated type of a tongue piercing. T-bar piercing is a piercing with three or more exit holes and a single piece of jewelry.

6. Tongue Web Piercings - A tongue piercing is obvious because the piercing goes through the webbing on the underside of the tongue. As compared to the other tongue piercing, it is the most quick healed pierce and the jewelry used is either a
curved barbell or a straight barbell and even captive bead rings can be used.
