The original name of the stone is Lapis Lazuli, Lazurite. Its earliest name means word pencil in Spanish. Usually gifted for the 7th and the 9th year of marriage. The semi precious stone Lapis lazuli decade ago was known as “Blue Gold " treasured by the humanity for more than five thousand years ago. The Persian believed the stone is a sacred buried with the dead to protect and guide them in the afterlife where as they also said the heavens owed their blue color to a massive slab of Lapis upon which the earth rested. Today lapis lazuli is considered as a friendship and truth stone where as the blue stone encouraged harmony in a relationship.

The first Lapis Lazuli was minded in Afghanistan in the province of Badakhshan more than six thousand years ago and the jewelry was found at Pre-dynastic Egyptian sites and its beads at the Neolithic burials in Mehgarh, the Caucasus and Mauritania.
