Decades ago, vintage costume jewelry and an
antique jewelry was fashionable and considered
to be the collectible items. Over the years,
costume jewelry has been a vibrant history. The
existence of the costume jewelry had been for
almost 300 years. In the 1700's cheap jewelry's
were made with the glass. In 1800's, after a
century the costume jewelry were made of semi
precious items which was later introduced in the
market, later the semi precious jewelry material
were available by the common people.
The costume jewelry and the antique have not
much of a difference. In 1930's the costume
jewelry was a cheap , disposable accessory meant
to be worn with a specific outfit, but not meant
to be handed down through generations and was
also considered to be fashionable. Whereas the
antique jewelry defines the word “antique".
The wealthy people had fine jewelry duplicated
for a variety of reasons, using paste or glass
stones. The comparison of modern pieces differs
because they do not have the vibrant in the
